Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 June 2026
These terms govern your use of the Bivy hosted services — the account control plane and the connection relay (the "Service"). By creating an account or connecting a machine, you agree to these terms. The Bivy software itself is free and open-source under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3.0 only (AGPL-3.0-only), and provided under its own license; you may run it locally without using the Service.
The Service
The Service lets you sign in, register machines, and reach your own machines from your own devices over an end-to-end-encrypted relay. The agent runs on your machine and uses model provider credentials that you supply. We do not provide the underlying AI models and are not responsible for their output.
Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your account secure.
- You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and machines.
- You must be legally able to enter into these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate others' rights;
- attempt to break, overload, or circumvent the security or rate limits of the relay or control plane;
- resell or provide the hosted Service to third parties except as permitted by your plan.
Billing and subscriptions
- A free tier is available. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
- We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes take effect on your next billing cycle.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI output will be accurate or fit for any purpose. You are responsible for reviewing any actions your agent takes on your machine.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bivy and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that pose a security or abuse risk.
Governing law
The Service is provided by Sjulstad Labs (Norwegian organization number 923640940), Norway. These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, and any dispute arising from them or your use of the Service is subject to the courts of Norway.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
